Easter time is a wonderful time to get away, explore, and experience the Cape.

The kids have school holidays, lots of amazing accommodation spots are offering great specials after the peak summer period, and the Cape autumn weather can still provide you with warm and spectacular days.

Combine this with a long list of festivities and events happening all around the Cape over Easter, and you’ll be hard-pressed to not to pack your car and head out to experience it all.

3 – 4 April 2009 Cape Town International Jazz Festival at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.

Anyone with an interest in jazz shouldn’t miss out on the Cape Town International Jazz Festival. A “whose who” of local and international jazz musicians will take the stage over the two days, in what has now grown to be one of the top jazz festivals in the world.

Two Oceans Marathon 2009

One of the most beautiful settings for a marathon in the world. The Two Oceans Marathon has become an institution over the years and is synonymous with the Easter weekend in Cape Town. With the pre-race activities at the expo, family day, and fun runs on Easter Friday. En-route entertainment on the race day provides fun, excitement, and a unique experience to runners, family, friends, and spectators alike.

Easter Picnic at Domaine Brahms

Goldfish Concert at Kirstenbosch

Redhill Family Day this Easter

A great day for the whole family.

The Redhill Family Day is a wonderful way to combine food, fun, gardening, and a family day outside in the Cape sunshine. Held at the Good Hope Nursery from 10am – 4pm,  the Nursery is celebrating by offering 20 percent off all plants, as well as face painting, puppet shows, art and crafts, fynbos walks, an outdoor tea garden and expert gardening advice.
