The Malmesbury Christmas Light Festival takes place on 2 December. The Cap Classique and Champagne Festival takes over Franschhoek from 2 to December. Spier will celebrate the festive season with a dazzling display of lights and a diverse collection of artistic performances at the Festival of White Lights. This festival takes place on 9 December at Spier Wine Estate. With tickets costing R100 for adults and just R60 for children under the age of 12, this festival includes a fabulous picnic on the lawns, fire-dancers, musical performances and a magnificent display of light installations. Observatory Village Green will host the annual OBZ festival from 9 to 11 December. The largest street festival of its kind in Southern Africa, the OBZ festival will host a number of top South African musical acts, including aKING and Gazelle.
